🐋 Animating the Into the Aether Season 8 artwork by Scout Wilkinson.

🎙 Editing the actual play podcast: Broke ‘N Gaming Plays: Delvebound.

What I’m Learning:

🖍 Brushing up (get it?) my drawing skills with Marc Brunet’s ART School for Digital Artists.

🍩 Finally dipping my toes into 3D with CGBoost’s Blender Launch Pad.

🎸 Learning to play acoustic guitar through Paul David’s Acoustic Adventure.

Free Time Fun:

👟 Training for my second year running in the Philadelphia Marathon Weekend with Nike Run Club. Soaking up the hot, but not too hot weather before the cold creeps in!

🎮 I am completely and totally wrapped up in Hollow Knight: Silksong. I just love these little buggy guys! Also slowly but surely working myself through the many JRPG’s of last year with Persona 3 Reload and of course, actively build crafting for my Dark Urge playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3.

📚 Right now I’m reading Doodles by Ryoko Kui: Daydream Hour; a collection of sketches, musings, and full illustrations from the author of Delicious in Dungeon! The whole book is super cute and great reference material.

Gear I’m Using:

💻 M1 Max Macbook Pro with 64GB of RAM connected to a BENQ GW2765 monitor with a NuPhy Air 75 keyboard and Logitech MX Master 3S mouse. For drawing and cel animation I use the Wacom Cintiq Pro 22.

🎙 Elgato Wave: 3 microphone and for headphones either AKG K240 for editing or Sony WH-1000XM4 for listening to music/podcasts while working. For recording, I use Audio Hijack by Rogue Amoeba, which actually rocks. Podcast-style recording is such a breeze with that app and I honestly can’t say enough nice things about it.

🖥 I edit video in Premiere and audio in Audition (although I do find myself defaulting to Logic more these days). For animation I use After Effects primarily, but for character rigging I do everything in Moho Pro 14. For drawing and cel work I use Clip Studio Paint.

🔌 I am not a huge Plugins for Everything guy, but I do have a few I can’t live without. Labels, EaseCopy, Kbar, Portal, FX Console, Align Pro, Ray Dynamic Color, Overlord, True Comp Duplicator, and Motion 4.

🖌 For brushes, Ayeoops’ Everything Brush I use for, well, everything. I also really like her Clip Studio Pack for funky textures.

🎮 PS5 for most things. Odin 2 Pro for retro games and PS5 remote play. Switch 2 for indie stuff and a whole lot of Mario Kart. My iPhone with the Delta Emulator for low stakes Pokémon instead of endlessly scrolling Bluesky.
